How to scan a document that will be saved in your M drive
1. Turn on scanner by pushing the round button on the top left side of front panel.
2. Place document to be scanned face down on the scanner glass or face up in the auto
feeder.
3. Press the Scan Document button. The dialog box should appear.
4. Select the settings:
What are you scanning?
a. Document:
i. Color
ii. Grayscale
iii. Black & White
b. Picture:
i. Scan originals from glass or feeder
ii. Scan negatives using the Transparent Materials Adapter (TMA)
iii. Scan positives, including 35 mm slides, using the TMA
Where do you want to send the scanned image(s)?
Scan to: (this is a dropdown menu)
File Type: (this is a dropdown menu)
5. Press the Scan tab (bottom left button).
6. The dialog box should appear:
a. Save Options
i. First box: where you make sure you have the correct file type
ii. Second box: where you name the scan. (example: math_capstone_gr11)
iii. Third box: the location where your scan will be saved
7. Press OK.
8. Next option:
a. Do you want to scan another page into the current document? Press Scan or
Done.
9. You should find the scanned files saved in your M drive under my scans.
