The 100-page automatic document feeder (ADF) quickly turns stacks of hard copies into digital
files, while you attend to other work. Tackle a wide variety of paper types, thicknesses, and sizes—from
148 mm (5.8 in) to 864 mm (34 in) long.
Quickly and easily capture both sides of a scanned document. With the ADF, you can scan two-sided
documents without standing by the scanner and handling every page.
Scan books, ledgers, magazines, and information from thick, bound files using the legal-size flatbed scanner.
Intuitive control panel
The scanner’s user-friendly control panel display and buttons make it simple to quickly start a scan or configure
scanner settings.
The Tools button opens the HP Scanner Tools Utility where you can:
• Configure the list of profiles on the scanner front panel
• Create scan profiles that use third-party scanning software
• Change the scanner power management settings
• View information about scanner settings, status, and maintenance
Use the OK button and arrows to scroll through the scan profiles and view their details on the four-line LCD
display. Scan profiles provide a fast, efficient way to select the settings for frequently-performed scanning tasks.

Quickly launch scans from the control panel using the Scan Simplex button for single-sided scans or the Scan
Duplex button for double-sided scans.
