Assuming that A and B are in A conversation. A want to bring C (or D & E) in a conference:
1) A presses Hold, the call is placed on hold.
2) A presses New Call, enter the number of C and then press send soft key or , C answers the call.
3) A presses or the conference soft key, then A, B and C are now in a conference.
4) If add D&E, A press Hold, the current conference is on hold, press New Call and dial D, D answer
the call. A Press Hold and New Call and dial E, E answer the call. A press , then A, B, C, D, E
are in a conference.
Press to mute the microphone during the call.
Press again to un-mute the conversation.

Hardware Overview

The Htek UC924U IP Phone features a standard telephone keypad, a display, and various function keys.

Key Components:

  • Power Indicator: A solid green light indicates the phone is on. A flashing red light signifies new messages.

Function Description and Usage Features

Placing a Call: There are three ways to make a call:

  1. Handset: Pick up the handset, enter the number, then press the send soft key or the '#' key.
  2. Speaker: Press the speaker key or a line key, enter the number, then press the send soft key or the '#' key.
  3. Headset: Press the headset key, enter the number, then press the send soft key or the '#' key.
  • Note: Calls can also be placed by selecting an entry from directory contacts or the call log and pressing the dial key. The mode (handset, speaker, headset) can be switched during a call.

Ending a Call: To end a call in different modes:

  1. Handset: Hang up the handset or press the cancel soft key.
  2. Speaker: Press the speaker key or press the cancel soft key.
  3. Headset: Press the cancel soft key.

Answering a Call:

  1. Handset: Pick up the handset.
  2. Speaker: Press the speaker key.
  3. Headset: Press the headset key.
  • Note: An incoming call can be rejected by pressing the Reject soft key.

Redialing: Press the Redial key to redial the last call dialed.

Holding a Call:

  • To hold a call: Press the Hold key or the hold soft key during a call.
  • To resume a held call: Press the Hold key or the resume soft key.

Call Transfer: The phone supports three types of call transfer:

  1. Blind Transfer:

    • During a conversation, press the Transfer key or Transfer soft key. The call is placed on hold.
    • Enter the number to which you want to transfer.
    • Press the Transfer key or the B Transfer soft key to complete the blind transfer.
  2. Attended Transfer:

    • During a conversation, press the Transfer key or Transfer soft key. The call is placed on hold.
    • Enter the number to which you want to transfer and press the send soft key or '#' key.
    • Once the second conversation starts, press the Transfer key or Transfer soft key to complete the transfer.
  3. Semi-Attended Transfer:

    • During a conversation, press the Transfer key or Transfer soft key. The call is placed on hold.
    • Enter the number to which you want to transfer, then press '#' key. You will hear the ring tone.
    • Press the Transfer key or the Transfer soft key to complete the semi-attended transfer.

Call Conference: To initiate a conference call (e.g., A and B are in a conversation, A wants to bring C, or D & E, into the conference):

  1. A presses Hold, placing the current call on hold.
  2. A presses New Call, enters C's number, then presses the send soft key or '#' key. C answers the call.
  3. A presses the Conference key or the conference soft key. A, B, and C are now in a conference.
  4. To add D&E: A presses Hold (the current conference is on hold), presses New Call and dials D. D answers. A presses Hold and New Call and dials E. E answers. A presses the Conference key. A, B, C, D, and E are in a conference.
  • Note:
    • If C does not answer, A can resume the conversation with B.
    • If A hangs up, the conference ends. If B or C drops, A&C or A&B can continue.

Call Mute:

  • To mute the microphone during a call: Press the Mute key.
  • To un-mute the microphone: Press the Mute key again.

Configuration

The phone can be configured via the phone interface or a web browser.

Configuration via Phone:

  1. Press Menu → Setting → Advanced Settings (Default password: admin).
  2. Select Network to configure the WAN Port (DHCP/Static/PPPoE), PC Port, etc.
  3. Select Accounts to enable the account, fill in the SIP Server, Outbound Proxy, and SIP registration information.

Configuration via Web: 11. Get the IP address from the phone: Press Menu -> Status -> Information. 2. Login: Input the IP address in a web browser (Login name: admin. Default password: admin). 3. Configuration: Fill in the SIP Server info on the Profile page and the Account registration info on the Account page. 4. Click on Save Set.

Important Technical Specifications (FCC Statement)
