Collect Logs
Device logs involve user operations, system faults, and system security issues. Logs are classified into
user logs and diagnostic logs. After logging in to the router,
obtain the user logs and diagnostic logs
as follows:
<Huawei> save logfile //Collect logs of common users.
<Huawei> system-view
[Huawei] diagnose
[Huawei-diagnose] save diag-logfile //Collect diagnostic logs.
[Huawei-diagnose] terminal diag-logging //Enable diagnostic log debugging.
[Huawei-diagnose] info-center create logbook sd1:/logfile/logbook.xml //Create a data dictionary file.
You can transfer the files from sd1:/logfile to your computer through TFTP, FTP, or SFTP to facilitate
information query and feedback. For details, see the
Configuration Guide - Basic Configuration
.
The root directory for storing information is sd1:/ on the AR2220, AR2240, and
AR3260, and is flash:/ on other models.
