The E1 120-ohm or T1 100-ohm balanced twisted pair cable is connected as follows:
l If the E1/T1 trunk cable extension is not used, the RJ45 connector is connected to the RJ45
interface of the remote device.
l If the E1/T1 trunk cable extension is used, the RJ45 connector is connected to a network
interface connector, and the network interface connector is connected to the remote device
through the cable extension, as shown in Figure 6-16.
