1. UPGRADE DESCRIPTION
This document is the user guide outlining the upgrade procedure for the Huawei
R207. This document is strictly to be used only as a guide to upgrade the R207 to
v4.1.
2. PREPARATION
Please download the R207 v4.1 software package to your windows PC.
Prepare windows PC and USB line. Make sure the Operating System is
windows XP/vista/win7.
Do not shut down/restart computer during the upgrade.
3. UPGRADE PROCEDURE
Step 1: Power on the R207, and connect it to the PC by USB cable. Install the R215
software first, which is indicated and provided by the device.
Step 2: Once drivers are installed - open the ‘Computer Management’ window,
and select ‘Device Manager’ to check the ports - you should see the ‘Vodafone
Mobile Broadband Diagnostics Port’.
