1. UPGRADE DESCRIPTION
This document is the user guide outlining the upgrade procedure for the Huawei
R215. This document is strictly to be used only as a guide to upgrade the R215 to
v3.1.
2. PREPARATION
Please download the R215 v2.4 software package to your windows PC.
Prepare windows PC and USB line. Make sure the Operating System is
windows XP/vista/win7.
Do not shut down/restart computer during the upgrade.
3. UPGRADE PROCEDURE
Step 1: Power on the R215, and connect it to the PC by USB cable. Install the
R215 software first, which is indicated and provided by the device.
Step 2: Once drivers are installed - open the ‘Computer Management’ window,
and select ‘Device Manager’ to check the ports - you should see the ‘Vodafone
Mobile Broadband Diagnostics Port’.
