8 Logging In to the Switch (Applicable to S1700 Series Managed Switches)
Power on the switch only when the input voltage is in the normal range (100 V AC to 240 V AC) to
test the AC input voltage of the switch.
The reset button (RST) is on the front panel of some switches. To restore the factory settings, press
and hold the reset button for more than 6 seconds. To restart a switch, press the reset button.
The MODE button on the front panel of some switches is used to switch the indicator mode to STAT,
SPED, or PoE.
Indicators on S1700 series switches have dierent meanings. For details, see the
The following table describes only the meanings of the PWR, SYS, and RUN indicators.
LED Indicator Color Description
System status indicator: SYS -
-
O: The system is not running.
System running status indicator: RUN
Green Steady on: The system is starting or not working properly.
-
O: The system is not running.
Blinking: The system is working properly.
Green Fast blinking: The system is starting.
Slow blinking: The system is operating properly.
Red Steady on: The system does not work properly after registration, or a fan
alarm or temperature alarm has been generated.
Green Steady on: The switch is powered on.
O: The switch is powered o.Power supply indicator: PWR
Login Procedure
Connect your computer to any Ethernet port of the switch using a network cable.
Open a web browser on the computer, enter https://192.168.1.253 (https://192.168.0.1 for
the S1728GWR-4P) in the address bar, and press Enter. The default username and password
are available in S Series Switches Default Usernames and Passwords. If you have not
obtained the access permission of the document, see Help on the website to find out how to
obtain it.
