Operation
Filter Life Counters
The pre-lter and cleanable lter are critical to the proper operation of the air purier. To
help you know when to change the lters, your Hunter Air Purier has Filter Life Counters
that will monitor the run time of the lters. Although the exact life of the lters depends
on the environment, the table below gives typical usage times of the lters.
Table 2: Typical Usage Times of the Filters
Filter Type Typical Usage
Activated Carbon Pre-Filter 1400 hours
Cleanable Filter 2800 hours
The Pre-Filter and Cleanable Filter indicators will turn on when the pre-lter needs to be
replaced or the cleanable lter needs to be cleaned.
The values of the Pre-Filter and Cleanable Filter Life Counters are stored in the air puriers
memory. The unit may be unplugged and moved or stored without losing the Pre-Filter
and Cleanable Filter Counter values.
To properly track lter usage, the Pre-Filter and Cleanable Filter Life Counters should be
reset each time the lters are changed. Refer to Changing the Pre-Filter (pg. 10) or Cleaning
the Cleanable Filter (pg. 11) for instructions on how to reset the counters.
Resetting the Air Purier
In the unusual situation that the unit or the display is exhibiting erratic behavior, you may
want to reset the air purier. If you still have problems after resetting the air purier, please
contact Hunter for additional assistance (refer to Technical Support, pg. 14).
To Reset the Air Purier:
1. Unplug the unit for at least 30 seconds.
2. Plug the unit back in.
