Latch Assembly and Insert Installation:
2. Install latch insert and latch to the spare tire base plate with screw through the front side of an open latch,
into the predrilled holes on the base plate, through the latch insert (textured side against base plate), and
fasten with a washer and nut using a flat head screwdriver and 5/16” wrench (fig 1). Repeat this
installation on each of the 3 notched and predrilled locations on the tire base plate (fig 2).

3. Install catch insert and catch to the spare tire faceplate with screw through the front side of catch, into the
predrilled holes on the faceplate, through the catch insert (textured side against faceplate), and fasten with
a washer and nut using a flat head screwdriver and 5/16” wrench (fig 3). Repeat this installation on each
of the 3 predrilled locations on the faceplate (fig 4).
