Why Husqvarna Chainsaw engine does not start?
- HHannah AndersonAug 4, 2025
There are several possible reasons why your Husqvarna chainsaw engine won't start. It could be due to blocked starter pawls, which would require adjusting or replacing them. The fuel type might be incorrect, necessitating draining and refilling with the correct fuel. A dirty or wet spark plug could also be the culprit; ensure it's clean and dry. The electrode gap might be incorrect, so clean the spark plug and ensure the gap is correct, using the recommended spark plug type or equivalent. A loose spark plug should be tightened. If the engine is flooded due to repeated starts with full choke, remove and clean the spark plug, lay the product on its side with the spark plug hole away from you, pull the starter rope handle 6-8 times, then reassemble the spark plug and try starting the product.
