This filter is behind the rear transmission and must be
changed when the oil is changed.
Obey the instructions in
To keep the hydraulic system
clean on page 41
.
1. Drain the oil from the rear transmission. See
To
replace the oil in the front and rear hydrostatic
transmissions on page 42
.
2. Remove the filter lid and pull out the filter.
3. Push in the new filter until the rubber seal in the front
is in position.
4. Attach the filter lid.
Note: The filter is not in the correct position if the
spring must be compressed before the filter lid
thread connects.
9.5.11 To bleed the drive system
CAUTION: Read
To keep the hydraulic system
clean on page 41
before the hydraulic system is
repaired.
CAUTION: Air can go into the system. Do not
run the transmission oil tank empty while you
bleed the drive system. Fill the transmission oil
tank fully when it is filled.
CAUTION: Do not operate the speed pedals
when the controls for the clutch valves are
disengaged.
1. Put the product on the adjustment tool for wheel
speed. Refer to
Servicing tools on page 16
2. Remove the transmission cover.
3. Attach an exhaust hose.
WARNING: Engine exhaust contains
poisonous carbon monoxide.
4. Fill the transmission tank with oil. Wait some
minutes and fill the transmission oil tank again.
5. Make sure that the clutch valves are closed.
6. Start the engine and let it operate at idle speed. Fill
the transmission oil tank again.
7. Release the parking brake and operate the front and
rearward pedals for 4 – 5 seconds, fill the
transmission oil tank again.
