Why won't my Husqvarna Tiller start?
    • J
      John VargasAug 12, 2025
If your Husqvarna Tiller won't start, several factors could be at play. First, ensure that the fuel tank is adequately filled. Next, check that the fuel valve is in the 'ON' position. If the engine is not properly choked, refer to the 'TO START ENGINE' section in the Operation section. If the engine is flooded, allow it to sit for a few minutes before attempting to restart. Inspect the spark plug for damage or improper gap and replace or adjust as needed. A dirty air filter can also prevent starting, so clean or replace it. Lastly, water in the fuel can be problematic; in this case, empty the fuel tank and carburetor, then refill with fresh gasoline.

      Ashley RiveraAug 27, 2025
If your Husqvarna Tiller experiences a loss of power, there are several potential causes. Ensure that the engine isn't overloaded by setting the depth stake and wheels for shallower tilling. Check the air filter and clean or replace it if dirty. Also, verify the oil level and change the oil if it's low or dirty. Inspect the spark plug; clean, regap, or replace it if faulty. If there's oil or water in the fuel, empty and clean the fuel tank and carburetor, then refill with fresh gasoline. A clogged fuel tank, loose spark plug wire, dirty engine air screen, or dirty/clogged muffler can also cause power loss, so address these issues accordingly. If the engine has poor compression, contact a qualified service center.
