Hussmann Controller Operation RTN
The Controller controls refrigeration temperature. This is factory installed in the control panel. Defrosts
are time initiated and temperature terminated for self contained. The defrost setting is factory set
as shown above. To ensure a thorough defrost, defrost must be terminated by the temperature
termination setting — not by time.
The graph shows what the discharge air sensor is reading. The case controller is
pre-programmed from the factory with a set point of -8° F. This merchandiser
holds product in all locations between 7° F and -6° F (evaluated under ASHRAE
72 method).
