    What to do if a paired phone will not link or connect to Hyundai BlueConnect Automobile Accessories?

      If a paired phone is not linking or connecting to your Hyundai Automobile Accessories, first ensure that both the phone and the vehicle ignition are turned ON, and that the phone's battery is charged. Allow at least 60 seconds for the link to take place. You can also use the BlueConnect® “Set Up,” command at the main menu and then “Select Phone” command to link to the desired phone. Refer to your phone’s user guide for Bluetooth® settings.

      If you are experiencing poor audio quality with your Hyundai Automobile Accessories, check the signal strength icon on your phone and avoid using the phone and BlueConnect® in areas where the signal strength is poor. Place phone closer to BlueConnect® module, i.e. the center of front seat area of the vehicle.

      To improve voice recognition with your Hyundai Automobile Accessories, reduce background noise by rolling up the windows, lowering the heater/AC fan, and minimizing loud talking. Wait for the beep before speaking. Speak in a normal voice when giving commands or responses to BlueConnect®.

      If you can hear the other party but they cannot hear you while using Hyundai Automobile Accessories, avoid using your phone and BlueConnect® in areas where the signal strength is poor. Also, ensure that mute is off on BlueConnect® by saying “mute off” while in use.

      If you're unable to receive incoming calls on your Hyundai Automobile Accessories, ensure that your vehicle ignition is in the ON position. Press the PHONE button to answer an incoming call and not the VR button on BlueConnect®. Use the BlueConnect® ‘Set Up’ command at the main menu and then “Select Phone” command to link to the desired phone. Place the phone inside of the vehicle to ensure a good connection.

Also, confirm that your phone has Bluetooth® capability and supports a hands-free profile, as only compatible phones will work with BlueConnect®. Make sure the Bluetooth® option is enabled on your phone. Place the phone inside the vehicle in the front seat area during the pairing process. It may also be necessary to install a SIM card. Finally, try the pairing process again, referring to both your phone's pairing instructions and the BlueConnect® pairing instructions.
