The Ibanez WS1 is a guitar wireless system designed for use with guitars and basses. It consists of a transmitter and a receiver, operating in the 2.4GHz frequency band.

Function Description:

The WS1 system provides wireless connectivity for musical instruments, eliminating the need for physical cables between the instrument and the amplifier or pedal. The transmitter connects to the instrument's output, and the receiver connects to the input of an amp or pedal. The system automatically pairs the transmitter and receiver and selects the best wireless channel in the 2.4 GHz frequency band. It also features a "cable tone" filter function that simulates the sound of a 3-meter (10 ft.) high-grade guitar cable, providing a more natural electric guitar tone.

Usage Features:

• Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button (2) on both the transmitter and receiver to turn them on. The LED indicator (5) blinks/flashes to show the remaining battery level before pairing. After 2 seconds, both LEDs light green, indicating successful pairing.
• Battery Level Indication: The LED indicator (5) shows battery status:
  • Green: 100%-75%
  • Yellow: 75%-50%
  • Red: 50%-25%
  • Red flashes 10 times: less than 25%
• Automatic Channel Selection: The WS1 automatically chooses the best wireless channel in the 2.4 GHz frequency band. If the receiver cannot detect a signal from the transmitter, its LED (5) will blink red.
• Transmitter Plug (1/4"): Connects to the output of your guitar.
• Receiver Plug (1/4"): Connects to the input of your amp or pedal. It is recommended to turn off the power of your amp before plugging in to prevent damage.
• Cable Tone Function: The WS1 features a cable tone filter that simulates a 3 m (10 ft.) high-grade guitar cable. This function can be toggled on/off by clicking the power button (2) on the transmitter.
  • When engaged, the LED (5) lights orange, providing a more natural electric guitar tone.
  • When off (default setting), the LED (5) lights green, offering a flat frequency response without any specific tone filter.
• Automatic Power Off:
  • The transmitter automatically turns off if no input signal is detected for 10 minutes.
  • The receiver automatically turns off 10 minutes after the transmitter turns off. This feature helps protect battery life.
• ID Matching (Pairing): The WS1 units are pre-matched at the factory. To pair with another WS1 transmitter or receiver:
  1. Turn off all WS1 transmitters and receivers nearby.
  2. Press and hold the power button (2) on both the desired transmitter and receiver for more than 5 seconds.
  3. While holding, the receiver's LED (5) will blink red. Once ID matching is complete, the receiver's LED (5) will blink and light green. Continue holding until matching is done.

Maintenance Features:

• Charging: The wireless units can be charged using the included micro USB Type-B Y-cable and your own USB power adapter.
  • During charging, the LED (5) lights red. The WS1 system is not operational as a wireless system while charging.
  • When fully charged, the LED (5) turns off.
• Cleaning: Do not use thinner, alcohol, or similar substances for cleaning, as this may cause damage.
• Storage and Handling:
  • Avoid water, moisture, dust, and high temperatures. Do not store or use in baths, outdoors where water splashes, high humidity, dusty areas, or high temperatures to prevent fire, electric shock, or failure.
  • Do not store in places with excessive vibrations, as this may cause failure.
  • Do not apply excessive force, drop, or give strong physical impact, as this may cause failure or injury.
• Device Integrity: Never disassemble or modify the device.
• Operation: Do not operate with wet hands to prevent short circuits or electric shocks.

Compliance Information:

The device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules, ensuring it does not cause harmful interference and accepts any received interference. It is a Class B digital device. To maintain FCC RF Exposure compliance, the equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator and your body, using only the supplied antenna.

The WS1 is also in compliance with Directive 2014/53/EU, as declared by Hoshino Gakki Co., Ltd.
