Choosing a Mode of Operation
Configuration Examples
The following configuration examples describe various possible
PeerMaster adapter modes of operation that you can configure with
two PeerMaster adapters.
The example presented in the traditional adapter mode is an
8-segment configuration.
The examples presented in the VNET switch mode are:
– An 8-port VNET configuration
– Two 4-port VNETs, each configured from one PeerMaster
adapter
– An 8-segment network configured as one 4-port VNET and
four traditional subnetworks
Each PeerMaster adapter can be used to create a variety of network
configurations. The following examples illustrate some basic
network configurations that you can create. Use these examples as
guidelines to determine the best configuration for your needs.
