Guidelines for Assigning Slot Numbers
If you must assign slot number for the specific device driver that
you intend to install, the README.TXT file on the PeerMaster
Server Adapter Option Diskette states if you must manually assign
slot numbers.
When assigning slot numbers, you are not constrained by physical
slot numbers. If valid slot numbers are not clearly present on your
system, then simply assign slot numbers in a manner that logically
identifies the PeerMaster adapters in your system.
Valid slot numbers are defined as follows:
Flash slot numbers must be assigned manually in the range of 1
through 8.
Each PeerMaster adapter must be assigned a unique flash slot
number.
