Loading Combined VNETs and Traditional Networks
Various transmit and receive control blocks and buffers exist to
support the bus-master interface between the PeerMaster adapter
and the host-based device driver. The resources determine the
number of transmit and receive packets that can be enqueued by the
bus-master interface. Increase the number of these resources only if
you have determined that packets are being lost due to lack of
resources.
To determine if packets have been lost due to lack of resources,
view the custom statistics using MONITOR.NLM. See “Custom
Statistics for VNET.LAN” on page 48 for details. If you need to
modify the count of these resources, see “Adjusting Transmit and
Receive Resources” on page 59 for details.
Specific instructions on how to create combined networks are
provided in “Sample AUTOEXEC.NCF Files” on page 53.
Updating Novell NetWare System Files
Your PeerMaster adapter comes with the latest versions of several
Novell NetWare NLM files. These files include fixes required for
the proper operation of your PeerMaster adapter under various
versions of Novell NetWare. Copy these files directly into the
Novell NetWare partition of your server. The following table
indicates the system files to replace.
