Changing the network conguration
You can view or change the network conguration on the Network Conguration page.
About this task
To view or change the network conguration of the PDU+, complete the following steps:
Procedure
1. From the main status page, in the left navigation pane, click Network.
2. Click Conguration to set the PDU+ IP address, gateway address, subnet mask, and Domain Name
System (DNS) address.
3. Click Control to congure TCP/IP settings.
4. Click Access Control to set access control to prevent unauthorized users from accessing the PDU+.
History and event log summaries
The Logs menu provides a detailed description of all events and a record of the PDU+ status. System
administrators can use this page to analyze problems with network equipment.
Viewing the history log
You can view the complete history of the PDU+ inputs and outputs on the History Log page. To view the
history of the PDU+, complete the following steps:
Procedure
1. From the main status page, in the left navigation pane, click Logs.
2. Click History.
Each event log le shows the time, date, and description of all the events occurring on the PDU+.
Viewing the event log
You can view the complete record of the PDU+ events on the Event Log page. To view the complete record
of the PDU+ events, complete the following steps:

1. From the main status page, in the left navigation pane, click Logs.
2. Click Events.
Each log le shows a record of the input power and output power of each outlet.
Monitoring the power status using the Intelligent Switched PDU
You can monitor the power status of any device that is connected to the PDU, either locally or remotely,
by using the PDU web interface or the IBM PDU Conguration Utility. You can also use IBM Systems
Director Active Energy Manager to monitor power usage of the PDU and its load groups. All of the PDU
Conguration Utility conguration menu choices are available through the web interface after the PDU is
set up on the local network. You can use Telnet or any other terminal program to congure the PDU after
the IP address is set.
Using the IBM PDU Conguration Utility to set up the Intelligent Switched PDU
The IBM PDU Conguration Utility is integrated in the PDU and is used to congure the PDU settings, such
as the IP address, network parameters, and trap receivers table. Before you can use the web interface to
monitor the PDU power status, you must use the PDU Conguration Utility to set up the PDU.
