  If your IBM Monitor isn't turning on or seems stuck, there are a few things you can check: * Ensure both the electrical outlet and the monitor are switched on. * Verify the power cord is firmly plugged into both the monitor and the outlet. If the plug has a removable fuse, try replacing it. You might also try a different power cord or electrical outlet. * Make sure the computer is powered on and the signal cable is securely connected, checking for any bent pins in the connector. Also, try pressing any key on the keyboard or moving the mouse. * Reconfigure the computer to use a non-interlaced display mode with a refresh rate of at least 72 Hz. * Degauss the monitor by switching it off and on again after 20 minutes.

  Your IBM Monitor might be experiencing interference due to nearby equipment. To resolve this: * Move fluorescent desk lighting or any equipment that produces magnetic fields further away from the monitor. A separation distance of at least 12 inches (300mm) is recommended if another monitor is nearby. * Move any equipment that produces magnetic fields (e.g., sub woofer loud speakers) further away from the monitor.
