7. Perform the following:
a. Power off the system.
b. Remove the only bulk power supply installed.
c. Install one of the other bulk power supplies that was removed in step 6 (See page 295).
d. Power on the system.
Is the SRC 1xxx 1200 displayed?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: The bulk power supply just removed in this step is the failing item.
This ends the procedure.
8. Perform the following:
a. Remove regulator R3.
b. Power on the system.
Is the SRC 1xxx 1200 displayed?
v Yes: Continue with the next step.
v No: Regulator R3 is the failing item.
This
ends the procedure.
9. Perform the following:
a. Power off the system.
b. Exchange the SPCN card. See symbolic FRU “BKSPCN” on page 286.
c. Power on the system.
Is
the SRC 1xxx 1200 displayed?
v Yes: Replace the backplane. See symbolic FRU “BACKPLN” on page 284.
This
ends the procedure.
v No: The SPCN card exchanged in this step was the failing item.
This
ends the procedure.
10.
Perform the following:
a. Power off the system.
b. Install one of the bulk power supplies that was removed in step 6 (See page 295).
c. Power on the system.
Is the SRC 1xxx 1200 displayed?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: The power supply that you installed in this step is the failing item.
This ends the procedure.
11.
Have you installed all of the power supplies that were removed in step 6 (See page 295)?
v Yes: Install all units removed in this procedure.
This
ends the procedure.
v No: Repeat step 10 (See page 296).
12.
Perform the following:
a. Power off the system.
b. Install one of the regulators that was removed in step 2 (See page 295).
c. Remove all bus load (processor, memory, and IOP except Clock card).
d. Power on the system.
Is
the SRC 1xxx 1200 displayed?
v No: Continue with the next step.
