Connecting External Options
Before you begin:
Read “Safety Considerations” on page 4-2 and “Handling Static Sensitive
Devices” on page 4-3.
Install all your internal options.
Read the manual that came with the external options.
Install the system unit cover (see page 4-113).
1. Prepare the option for installation using the instructions that came with the
option. You might find instructions for:
Setting a SCSI device ID
Removing or installing a SCSI device terminator
Setting jumpers or switches
2. Connect the option to the system unit as described in the instructions that came
with the option. The following figure shows describes the input/output connectors
that are used to connect many external options.
