Internal Connector
Connect the controller by cable to SAS drives or SATA III
drives.
J1A2 Individual Drive Fault
LED Header
2-pin Connector Connects to a range of LEDs that will indicate which
connected drive has faulted.
J1B2 Global Drive Activity
LED Header
A connected LED will blink indicating that there is activity
occurring in any of the connected drives.
J1B3 Write Pending LED
Header
2-pin Connector A connected LED will indicate that a write command is
pending by turning the LED on. This feature is used with the
write-back feature.
J1B4 SBR Defaults Load
Jumper
2-pin Connector When shunted provides the ability to bypass loading the
Bootstrap configuration from external SBR EEPROM device
and load the default system values within the ROC. This will
allow the hardware to recover the blank or corrupted SBR
device using Mega RAID software utilities.
Default mode of operation is to not have a shunt on this
jumper and load the Bootstrap configuration from external
SBR EEPROM device.
J1B5 RAID Upgrade Key
Connector
Allows a connection to a RAID upgrade key to allow
additional RAID level capabilities.
