Controlling a
System
With
T50
Two
commands
are
used
to
control
TSO:
OPERATOR
and
ACCOUNT.
The
OPERATOR
command
is
used
to
regulate
the
operation
of
the
system
from
a
terminal.
The
ACCOUNT
command
is
used
to
maintain
the
list
of
authorized
users
of
the
system.
You
must
have
authorization
from
your
installation
to
use
either
the
OPERATOR
or
the
ACCOUNT
command.
This
a
uthorization
is
recorded
in
the
system
with
your
user
attributes.
Use
of
the
OPERATOR
command
is
restricted
to
terminals
that
have
the
transmit-interruption
capability.
The
OPERATOR
Command
The
OPERATOR
command,
through
its
subcornmands,
allows
you
to
perform
the
following
functions:
Monitor
terminal
acti
vi
ty
(MONITOR
and
STOPMN
subcommands).
Display
TSO
information
(DISPLAY
subcommand).
Cancel
a
terminal
session
or
a
background
job
(CANCEL'
subcommand)
Send
messages
to
terminal
users
(SEND
subcommand).
Modify
time
sharing
parameters
(MODIFY
subcommand).
End
operation
of
the
OPERATOR
command
(END
subcommand).
Note:
1.
The
OPERATOR
command
is
supported
only for
those
terminals
for
which
the
BREAK
operand
of
the
TERMINAL
command
is
valid,
that
is,
for
those
terminals
which
have
the
transmit
interruption
capability.
2.
The
attention
interruption
will
not
halt
the
output
from
system
operator
commands,
such
as
DISPLAY ACTIVE.
You
must
first
enter
the
command
and
then
the
subcommand
you
wish
to
use.
For
example,
use
the
following
sequence
to
enter
the
MONITOR
s
ubc

READY
