Warnings / AssemblyInformation / Application
CAUTION Read the operating instructions before use. For safety reasons, only persons
who know the instruction manual exactly are allowed to operate.
Diaphragm vessels are pressure devices subject to Directive 2014/68 / EU, compliance with
which is conrmed by the attached declaration of conformity. The product data can be found
on the nameplate (if the name plate is missing, it is prohibited to install sucha device, in this
case please contact the manufacturer of the device): manufacturer, year of manufacture, type,
technical data, production number. The device may be used only if it is possible to maintain
the operating conditions corresponding to the parameters on the rating plate. Exceeding
the maximum and minimum parameters given on the plate is unacceptable. Use air (dry)
or nitrogen to replace the pressure in the air cushion.
APPLICATION
Diaphragm vessels are designed to stabilize water pressure and increase the active volume
of plumbing. Application for cooperation with pumps with parameters corresponding to
the parameters of the tank. Every eort should be made that the membrane of tanks should
not be damaged. If the vessels will work in hot water systems before assembly, check the
maximum temperature of the diaphragm given by the manufacturer in the data on the
nameplate.
The nameplate shows the general characteristics of diaphragm vessels from the tanks series,
including: PS working pressure, and operating temperature, which should be understood
as the maximum operating parameters for the vessels in question.
Not adhering to these recommendations in the form of exceeding the maximum pressure,
temperature or initial pressure may result in shortening the time of usability of the device,
destruction of property and threat to health and life of people and animals.
If the device can work properly, it is necessary to choose the appropriate size of the vessel
depending on the design and the parameters of the installation. Such selection may only
be made by qualied personnel.
Do not use devices in systems in which water is contaminated with sand, clay, stone or
elements that may lead to abrasion or blockage of the installation.
Diaphragm vessels ‚ are not suitable for contact with oils, chemical uids, petroleum products,
solvents and all liquids from group 1 of uids contained in Directive 2014/68 / EU.
Diaphragm vessels can not be used for any other applications than those specied by the
manufacturer. Every eort should be made to prevent corrosion of the vessel.
The general safety conditions should be followed!
Any interference or modication of the diaphragmatic vessels is prohibited, any chang-
es will void the warranty. The manufacturer is not liable for damages resulting from
construction changes such as welding, deformation, drilling, heating.
The system in which the vessel is to be mounted must be absolutely equipped with a safety
device, limiting the pressure increase above a certain level (pressure not higher than the
maximum pressure reached by the vessel), eg a safety valve.
Installation, commissioning, maintenance and disassembly may only be carried out by
ualied and licensed personnel who have read the instruction manual before proceeding.
All work must be carried out in accordance with the safety rules.
Before installation, check whether the gas is under pressure in accordance with the pa-
rameters given on the plate. Under no circumstances should the pre-pressure exceed the
permissible operating pressure. It must be ensured that the pre-pressure falls within the
limits given by the manufacturer.
The device should be installed in a special room in which there is a drain due to the possi-
bility of leakage in the event of a leak in the installation to prevent damage to the property.
It is forbidden to use a device that has a visible violation of external coatings resulting from,
for example, transport damage.
Diaphragm vessels should be protected against atmospheric conditions and against neg-
ative temperatures.
The manufacturer is not liable for damages resulting from the installation of the device
which has been damaged in transport or has been installed incorrectly.
Be careful not to allow the thread to rotate when tightening the vessel.
The vessel should be mounted in such a way that its operation, inspections, disassembly,
access to the rating plate and to the safety valve as well as disassembly are not dicult. The
manufacturer is not responsible for the costs associated with the disassembly and assembly
of other devices to ensure transport of the IBO BLUE container to the manufacturer’s service.
