Overview

The ICECO VL45/60 ProS is a portable refrigerator/freezer designed for various applications, including outdoor use and in vehicles. Its primary function is to cool or freeze items, offering flexibility with both AC and DC power options.

Function Description:

The ICECO VL45/60 ProS operates as a portable refrigerator or freezer, capable of maintaining temperatures suitable for cooling or freezing various items. It features a compressor-based cooling system, allowing for efficient temperature control. The unit can be powered by either a 110V AC wall outlet or a 12/24V DC cigarette lighter plug, making it versatile for both home and vehicle use. A USB connector is also integrated, which functions for charging when the unit is connected to a DC power cord. The device is engineered to operate in a wide range of ambient temperatures, up to 55 °C (131 °F), and is designed to be weather-proof for light rain conditions.

Usage Features:

The refrigerator/freezer offers several user-friendly features for operation and control.

  • Lid Opening: The lid can be opened from either the right or left side by gripping the respective latch and pushing it inwards before lifting. For complete disassembly of the lid, both latches need to be gripped and pushed inwards simultaneously.
  • Power Control: The unit is turned on and off using the Power ON/OFF Button (B).
  • Temperature Setting: The current interior temperature is displayed as a solid, non-flashing number. To adjust the desired temperature, users can press the Temperature Up Button (E) to increase or the Temperature Down Button (D) to decrease the temperature. The set temperature will flash during adjustment and then return to display the current interior temperature once set.
  • Cooling Modes: The device offers two compressor speed modes: MAX and ECO. While the unit is on, the MODE Button (C) can be pressed to toggle between these two modes. MAX mode provides faster cooling, while ECO mode is more energy-efficient.
  • Temperature Unit Switch: Users can switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) displays. With the unit turned on, pressing and holding both Button C and Button D for 3 seconds will toggle the temperature values.
  • Battery Protection: The unit includes a triple battery protection feature, accessible via the Battery Protection Button (A). This system is designed to prevent over-discharge and battery depletion, especially when connected to a vehicle battery. Users can adjust the low battery protection level pre-sets (LOW, MED, HIGH) to suit their needs. For instance, in LOW mode, the refrigerator will automatically power off if the battery voltage drops below 9.6 volts and will restart when the voltage reaches 10.9 volts. This ensures the vehicle's battery is not completely drained.
  • Power Cables: Both AC and DC cables are provided, allowing for power from a standard wall outlet or a vehicle's cigarette lighter.
  • Accessories: The unit comes with a wire basket for organized storage, a drain plug for easy cleaning, screws, corner guards, a handle, and a screwdriver for assembly and maintenance.

Maintenance Features:

Proper maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of the ICECO VL45/60 ProS.

  • Cleaning: Before cleaning, always unplug the fridge. The interior and exterior can be cleaned with warm water mixed with a gentle, non-abrasive detergent, using a soft sponge or micro fiber cloth.
  • Odor Reduction: When not in use, it is recommended to leave the lids open to reduce odors. If odors persist, a thorough cleaning or placing baking soda in a bowl inside the fridge can help absorb them.
  • What to Avoid During Cleaning:
    • Do not use pointed objects to scrape or defrost ice.
    • Avoid abrasive detergents.
    • Do not use heavy-duty sponges, as they can cause scratching.
    • Do not clean the fridge with running water or a pressure washer.
    • Ensure power input covers are secured before cleaning.
  • Compressor Lubricant: If the refrigerator is delivered upside down, it is essential to leave it upright for 24 hours before powering it on. This allows the compressor lubricant to resettle, preventing potential operation abnormalities. If any visible oil or fluid leaks are observed, immediate contact with customer service is advised.
  • Ventilation: Keep ventilation openings clear of obstruction, with a recommended clearance of 3 inches.
  • Power Cable Replacement: The power cable should only be replaced by qualified technician personnel or an assistant authorized by the manufacturer.
  • Disconnection for Maintenance: Before performing any maintenance operations on the refrigerator, disconnect the power cable from the plug.
  • Fuse Protection: The power line is protected by a 15A fuse located within the refrigerator.
