Check the ice thickness.
Older under counter models used a dual float system, whereby the ice thickness was
changed with the high-water level float sensor. This float can be adjusted upward for a
thicker bridge and lower for a thinner bridge.
Part of the installation process is to check that the ice thickness is properly adjusted.
Too close to the evaporator and the customer will have hollow cubes. Too far from the
evaporator and you’re freeze time will be too long and the customer will complain of
“thick” or “chunky” ice.
