Overview

The provided document is an installation and user manual for the ICS PACIFIC G400L Medical Refrigerator.

Function Description

The ICS PACIFIC G400L is a medical display refrigerator designed to store temperature-sensitive products, primarily vaccines, within a controlled temperature range. It is pre-set to operate between +2°C and +8°C, in accordance with QCPP Accreditation requirements, ensuring the integrity and efficacy of stored medical supplies. The cabinet features an electronic digital controller for precise temperature management and monitoring, including high/low temperature readings and an alarm function to alert users to temperature excursions outside the safe range. Its design emphasizes proper ventilation and stocking practices to maintain stable internal temperatures and prevent damage to both the unit and its contents.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Model: G400L
  • Temperature Range: +2°C to +8°C
  • Ambient Operating Temperature: Designed to operate in a room temperature range of +5°C to +30°C.
  • Humidity: Operates at up to +60% humidity.
  • Power Requirements: 220-240 Volt, 50Hz AC power point. Requires a dedicated 10AMP grounded, 3-pin power point with appropriate surge protection.

  • Alarm Activation: Activates if the temperature goes below 2°C or rises above 8°C for longer than 30 minutes.

Usage Features

  • Electronic Digital Controller:
    • Display Panel: Shows current temperature and indicators for refrigerating, defrost, and high/low temperature.
    • UP/Light Button (14.0): Switches the internal light on and off.
    • DOWN/Mute Button (15.0): Used to deactivate the alarm when it is activated.
    • HI/LO Button (16.0):
      • Press once to read the highest temperature reached.
      • Press again within 10 seconds to read the lowest temperature reached.
      • Press and hold for 6-7 seconds to clear and reset high/low temperature values (signalled by a long beep).
    • Refrigerating Light (12.0): May flash during normal operation; not indicative of internal temperature.
    • Defrost Light (13.0): Indicates when the fridge is in defrost mode and may flash after defrost.
    • Hi/Lo Temperature Light (11.0): Illuminates when the display shows high or low temperature readings, not the current temperature.
  • Initial Setup:
    • Requires removal of all packaging and protective film.
    • Must be placed on a flat, level surface in a location away from direct sunlight, heat, moisture, and dust.
    • Requires 1-2 hours for temperature stabilization before stocking.
  • Stocking Guidelines:
    • Ensure adequate ventilation beneath the fan cover on the top shelf.
    • Prevent stock from overhanging shelves or touching front glass/internal side panels to ensure proper air circulation.
    • When using containers, ensure adequate ventilation at the bottom and around them.

Maintenance Features

  • Regular Cleaning:
    • Turn off the cabinet and disconnect the power plug before cleaning.
    • Remove all products from within the cabinet.
    • Clean interior/exterior with warm water and mild detergent or a food-grade cleaning product.
    • DO NOT use abrasive products or corrosive substances.
    • Wipe the inside with a damp cloth.
  • Dust and Dirt Removal:
    • Clean behind the refrigerator at least every 6 months to prevent dust/dirt buildup.
    • Use ONLY a brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust/dirt from the back of the refrigerator.
    • DO NOT use water for cleaning the back of the refrigerator.
  • Troubleshooting Guide (Before Calling Service):
    • Not Operating Correctly: Check power plug connection, power point switch, cabinet power, absence of power board/double adapter, direct sunlight exposure, proximity to air-conditioning vents, ambient temperature (+30°C to -2°C), rear clearance (at least 10cm), and correct stocking.
    • Excessive Noise/Water: Check if the cabinet is on a flat, level surface. If excessive water at the base, it may be due to defrosting; check if the drain tube is dislodged.
    • Condensation: Check ambient temperature (not above +30°C), relative humidity (not above 60%), and ensure the door is securely closed.
    • Running Warm Inside: Check ambient temperature (not above +30°C), relative humidity (not above 60%), door closure, blocked airflow, and ensure it's not cooling warm/hot products. Verify the electronic digital controller hasn't been adjusted by an unqualified person and that stocking is correct.
    • Freezing Product: Check door closure, ensure the electronic digital controller hasn't been adjusted by an unqualified person, verify ambient temperature (above +2°C), and confirm correct stocking.
  • Service Contact: For adjustments to temperatures or further assistance, contact the ICS PACIFIC Service Department on Toll Free 1800 630 360, quoting the serial number. Note that a service charge may apply if no warranty fault is found.
