If the Idex Control Unit valve is difficult to open or close, especially if it operates properly through the rest of the cycle after manual operation, it could be due to insufficient lubrication or extended periods of inactivity. Try these steps: * Lubricate the valve by removing the strainer from the suction connection, manually opening the valve, and coating the valve bore and disc edges with Sunoco® Ultra® Prestige® 2EP grease or an equivalent. * If the valve has been left closed for a long time, operate it periodically to maintain proper function. Grease if necessary.
