If your fried snacks aren't crispy when they come out of the Ignited Fryer, it might be because you're using snacks designed for traditional deep fryers. For best results, use oven snacks or lightly brush some oil onto the snacks before frying to achieve a crispier texture.

    • K
      Kayla HernandezAug 19, 2025
If your ingredients are not done when using the Ignited Fryer, consider these points: * The amount of ingredients in the basket might be too much. Try frying in smaller batches for more even cooking. * The temperature may be set too low. Increase the temperature to the required setting. * The preparation time might be insufficient. Increase the time, referring to the 'Settings' section for guidance.

Why is my Ignited IGA45 Fryer emitting white smoke?
    • A
      Anna PerezAug 23, 2025
If you see white smoke coming from your Ignited Fryer, it's likely due to preparing greasy ingredients. When frying these types of foods, a large amount of oil can leak into the pot, causing white smoke and potentially making the pot hotter than usual. This is normal and shouldn't affect the appliance or the cooking results.

How do I make fresh fries crispy in the Ignited Fryer?
    • E
      Edward ClarkAug 31, 2025
If your fresh fries aren't crispy when they come out of the Ignited Fryer, remember that the crispiness depends on the oil and water content of the fries. Ensure you dry the potato sticks properly before adding oil. For a crispier result, cut the potato sticks smaller and add slightly more oil.

    • M
      Michael WoodwardSep 4, 2025
If the ingredients are fried unevenly in the Ignited Fryer, it might be because certain foods need to be shaken during cooking. For items that lie on top of each other, like fries, shake them halfway through the preparation. Refer to the 'Settings' section for more details.

Overview

This document is an instruction manual for the Ignited IGA45 5.5/7.5 Quart Digital Air Fryer.

Function Description:

The Ignited IGA45 is a digital air fryer designed for household use, capable of preparing a wide range of food using hot air frying technology. It functions as an oil-free fryer, circulating hot air to cook ingredients, aiming for a crispier result with less oil compared to traditional deep frying. The appliance features a control panel with preset options for popular food choices, as well as manual temperature and time adjustments. It can be used for frying, baking, and reheating various ingredients.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Power Supply: 120V, 60Hz
  • Rated Power: 1700W
  • Capacity: 5.5/7.5 Quart (flexible capacity, can be configured for either size)
  • Adjustable Temperature: 170°F - 400°F
  • Timer: 0-60 minutes

Usage Features:

The air fryer offers flexible capacity, allowing users to configure it for either 5.5 or 7.5 quarts. For 7.5 quarts, the basket is removed, an extra handle is attached to the pot, and a wire rack is placed at the bottom. For 5.5 quarts, the extra handle is removed, and the basket is placed directly into the pot.

Control Panel:

The control panel includes:

  • Power Key (1): Turns the unit on/off and starts/pauses cooking. A single press illuminates the power light, sets the default temperature to 400°F, and cooking time to 15 minutes. A second press starts cooking. Holding the key for 1 second during cooking will display "OFF" and stop the device after 20 seconds.
  • Preset Key (2): Allows scrolling through 8 popular food choices with predetermined time and cooking temperature functions.
  • Timer/Temperature Control Keys (3 & 4): These keys (represented by "+" and "-" symbols) adjust cooking temperature by 10°F at a time (range: 170°F-400°F) and cooking time by one minute at a time. Holding the keys down rapidly changes the settings.
  • Indicator Lights: Include Fan indicator (7), Temperature light (8), Timer light (9), Temperature indicator (10), Timer indicator (11), and Recipe indicators (12-19).

Preparation and Operation:

  1. Place the appliance on a stable, horizontal, and non-heat-resistant surface.
  2. Ensure the basket is correctly placed in the pot (or the rack for 7.5-quart configuration).
  3. Do not fill the pot with oil or any other liquid.
  4. Do not cover the air inlet or outer air openings, and avoid placing anything on top of the appliance to ensure proper airflow.
  5. Connect the mains plug to an earthed wall socket.
  6. Carefully pull out the pot, place food in the basket, and slide the pot back into the air fryer, aligning it with the guides.
  7. Set the desired temperature and time using the control keys or select a preset function.
  8. Some ingredients require shaking halfway through the preparation time. To do this, pull the pot out by the handle and shake it. Do not press the basket release button during shaking. The appliance retains settings for about 10 minutes after the pot is pulled out.
  9. When the timer buzzes, the cooking is complete. To remove food, pull the pot out, place it on a heat-resistant surface, press the basket release button, and lift the basket out. Avoid turning the basket upside down with the pot attached to prevent oil leakage.

Tips for Optimal Results:

  • Smaller ingredients generally require shorter preparation times.
  • Larger amounts of ingredients may require slightly longer preparation times.
  • Shaking smaller ingredients halfway through cooking helps ensure even frying.
  • Adding a small amount of oil to fresh potatoes can result in crispier fries.
  • Avoid preparing overly greasy ingredients like sausages.
  • Oven-ready snacks can be prepared in the air fryer.
  • The optimal amount for crispy fries is 500 grams.
  • Pre-made dough can be used for quick snacks and requires less preparation time than homemade dough.
  • A baking tin or oven dish can be placed in the basket for baking cakes, quiches, or frying fragile ingredients.
  • To reheat ingredients, set the temperature to 300°F for up to 10 minutes.
  • Add 3 minutes to the preparation time if starting with a cold air fryer.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning after every use:
    1. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down completely (removing the pot helps it cool faster).
    2. Wipe the outside of the appliance with a moist cloth.
    3. Clean the pot and basket with hot water, washing-up liquid, and a non-abrasive sponge. Degreasing liquid can be used for stubborn dirt.
    4. For stuck-on dirt, fill the pot with hot water and washing-up liquid, place the basket in it, and let them soak for approximately 10 minutes.
    5. Clean the inside of the appliance with hot water and a non-abrasive sponge.
    6. Clean the heating element with a cleaning brush to remove any food residues.
  • Storage: Unplug the appliance, ensure all parts are clean and dry, and store it.

  • Be cautious of hot steam from air outlet openings during frying.
  • Accessible surfaces may become hot during use.
  • Unplug immediately if dark smoke appears; wait for smoke to stop before removing the pot.

Troubleshooting:

The manual provides solutions for common issues such as the air fryer not working (basket not placed, not plugged in, timer not set), ingredients not done (too many ingredients, temperature too low, time too short), uneven frying (ingredients need shaking), snacks not crispy (wrong snack type, no oil, not rinsed/dried properly), difficulty sliding the pan (too many ingredients, basket not placed correctly), and white smoke (greasy ingredients, grease residues, wrong potato type, not rinsed/dried properly).
