■ Change Hydraulic Oil and Clean the Strainer

* Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not
allow hot oil or components to contact the skin.
* At operating temperature, the hydraulic tank is hot and can
be under pressure.
* To relieve the pressure from the hydraulic tank, loosen the
oil fill plug Ф on the hydraulic tank.
* Relieve the tank pressure with engine off by removing fill
plug slowly to prevent hot oil from burning.

1. Place the machine on level ground, with the arm and bucket
cylinder fully retracted and attachments lowered, as shown. Stop j
the engine. I

2. Relieve the internal pressure from the hydraulic tank by loosening
the fill plug ®.
3. Clean area thoroughly to keep dirt out of strainer cover unit ©
and fill plug Ф.
4. Remove the oil drain plug © drain oil into a container. Drain oil in

all parts of the hydraulic system thereafter. i

NOTE: Always dispose of used oil as established by local regulation.
5. Remove the suction hoses © Remove the bolts Ф and the
strainer cover unit ©/strainer © from the hydraulic tank.
Bucket position at the time of
drain the hydraulic oil.
6 . Inspect the О ring © and replace it if damaged.
7. Clean the inside of the tank with the clean oil.
8 . Clean and install the strainer cover unit © / strainer © and the ^ strainer-' ■ * ^ V'x

9. Clean and install the drain plug ©.
