Overview

The INGCO CSLI1401 is a Lithium-Ion Circular Saw designed for cutting wood products. It is part of the 20V MAX P20S series, indicating compatibility with a shared battery system across 60+ INGCO tools. This cordless power tool emphasizes portability and ease of use without the restriction of a power cord.

Function Description:

The primary function of the CSLI1401 circular saw is to make straight and bevel cuts in wood. It operates by means of a rotating saw blade, driven by a motor, which cuts through the material. The tool is designed for precision and safety, featuring adjustable cutting depth and bevel angles, a lower guard for blade protection, and a lock-off lever to prevent unintentional starting. An electric brake system is integrated to quickly stop the blade after the switch is released, enhancing safety. For improved visibility during operation, the tool includes a lamp to illuminate the cutting area. The rip fence (guide rule) accessory aids in making accurate straight cuts and repeated cuts of uniform width.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model: CSLI1401
  • Blade diameter: 140 mm
  • Max. Cutting depth:
    • at 90°: 40 mm
    • at 45°: 28 mm
  • No load speed (RPM): 3,600 /min
  • Rated voltage: 20V
  • Standard battery cartridges: FBLI2001, FBLI2002 (These are compatible 20V MAX batteries from the P20S series)
  • Arbor: 1" (25.4mm)
  • Blade Teeth: 24T (as indicated on the blade in the image)
  • Max. RPM for blade: 10,000 RPM (as indicated on the blade in the image)

Usage Features:

  • Cordless Operation: Powered by a 20V MAX Lithium-Ion battery, offering freedom of movement without a power cord.
  • Adjustable Cutting Depth: The cutting depth can be easily adjusted by loosening a lever on the rear handle and moving the base up or down. For optimal safety and cleaner cuts, the depth should be set so that no more than one blade tooth projects below the workpiece.
  • Bevel Cutting: The saw allows for bevel cuts from 0° to 50°. This is adjusted by loosening a lever on the front base and tilting the saw accordingly.
  • Sighting for Cuts: The base plate features two positions (A for straight cuts, B for 45° bevel cuts) to align with the cutting line, ensuring accuracy.
  • Safety Switch Action: Equipped with a lock-off lever to prevent accidental starting. To operate, the lock-off lever must be pressed before pulling the switch trigger. Releasing the switch trigger stops the tool.
  • Electric Brake: An integrated electric brake quickly stops the blade after the switch is released, reducing the risk of injury.
  • Work Area Illumination: A built-in lamp illuminates the cutting area, improving visibility, especially in dimly lit conditions.
  • Rip Fence (Guide Rule): An accessory that slides against the workpiece to facilitate extra-accurate straight cuts and consistent width cuts.
  • Ergonomic Design: Features both a front grip and a rear handle for firm, two-handed control, which is crucial for resisting kickback forces.
  • Battery Compatibility: Part of the INGCO P20S platform, meaning the 20V MAX battery is interchangeable with over 60 other INGCO tools.

Maintenance Features:

  • Blade Installation/Removal: The blade can be removed or installed using the provided hex wrench and by pressing the shaft lock to prevent the blade from revolving. It is crucial to ensure the blade teeth point upwards at the front of the tool and the hex bolt is securely tightened clockwise.
  • Hex Wrench Storage: The hex wrench has a dedicated storage slot on the tool to prevent it from being lost.
  • Guard Maintenance: Regular checks of the lower guard are essential to ensure it moves freely and closes instantly. Accumulated sawdust and debris should be cleaned from the upper and lower blade guards.
  • Blade Care: Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Dull or damaged blades can cause excessive friction, binding, and kickback. Gum and wood pitch should be removed from the blade using appropriate cleaners (not gasoline).
  • General Tool Maintenance: Keep handles dry, clean, and free from oil and grease. Store idle power tools out of reach of children and untrained users. Check for misalignment, binding, or breakage of parts, and have damaged tools repaired by qualified personnel.
  • Battery Charging: Recharge batteries only with the charger specified by the manufacturer to avoid fire risks.
  • Dust Management: If dust extraction and collection facilities are provided, ensure they are connected and properly used to reduce dust-related hazards.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Users are advised to wear a dust mask and hearing protection when using the tool, in addition to eye protection.
