Why Ingersoll-Rand 1RPNS1-IR Power Screwdriver loses power?
- LLisa LoweryJul 25, 2025
Loss of power in your Ingersoll-Rand Power Screwdriver can stem from several causes. It might be due to low air pressure; ensure the air supply is at 90 psig (6.2 bar/620 kPa) at the inlet for optimal performance. A plugged air strainer or inlet screen could also be the culprit; clean or replace these components. Similarly, a clogged muffler or exhaust silencer needs cleaning or replacement. Worn or broken vanes require replacement of the entire set. A damaged rear end plate gasket necessitates a new gasket. Inspect the cylinder for wear or breakage, replacing it if cracked or scored. Finally, improper lubrication or dirt build-up calls for cleaning and lubrication of the motor unit parts.
