Why does my Ingersoll-Rand Power Tool paving breaker lack power?
- JJulie CrawfordAug 12, 2025
If your Ingersoll-Rand Power Tool paving breaker lacks power, ensure the air supply pressure at the tool is between 90 to 100 psi (6.2 to 6.9 bar). Keep the shank fed-up to the work, maintaining constant pressure. Also, dismantle the breaker and clean out all ports and passages. Maintain the proper oil level in the lubricating oil reservoir, ensuring the steel shank shows a film of oil. If the valve is sticking, remove valve chest parts from the breaker and clean them, avoiding dirty or non-specification oil.
