Usage Features:

  • 8 Channel Inputs and 2 Channel Outputs Amplifiers: The mixer can accommodate various sound sources. Channels 1-4 are suitable for microphones, turntables, cassette decks, and electric guitars, while channels 5-8 are designed for turntables and cassette decks.
  • Tone Control: Dedicated TREBLE and BASS controls allow users to adjust the acoustic characteristics of microphones, speakers, and the room environment. These controls offer a range of ±10dB at 10KHz for treble and ±10dB at 100Hz for bass.
  • Panpot for Stereo Effect: Each input source can be distributed between the left and right outputs, enabling the creation of a stereo sound effect.
  • Echo Function: Channels 1-4 feature an echo function, utilizing BBD (Bucket Brigade Devices) IC. The echo volume level can be individually adjusted for each channel, and a master echo control allows for overall level adjustment.
  • Monitor: Users can monitor the output or the program of individual channels before the channel fader stage via headphones. The PFL (Pre Fader Listening) selector allows selection of the input channel to be monitored.
  • Electro-Start Function: Channel faders for CH 5/6 and CH 7/8 are equipped with an electro-start function, which automatically controls the AC power to the AC outlets on the rear panel, useful for turntables.
  • Input Selectors: Switches are provided to select the appropriate sensitivity level for MIC/MIC ATT/LINE on channels 1,2 and MIC/PHONO/LINE on channels 3,4.
  • Channel Level Volume: These controls adjust the volume of signal sources connected to the respective channels.
  • Master Level Volume: This control adjusts the volume of the final mixed sound.
  • VU Meters: Indicate the output level or PFL level.
  • Headphone Level Volume: Adjusts the volume level for headphone monitoring.
  • Name Plate: White plates are available for users to label connected equipment.

Maintenance Features:

  • Unpacking and Installation: The manual emphasizes the importance of careful unpacking and retaining the original carton and packing materials for potential future service or moving.
  • Environmental Considerations: Users are advised to avoid placing the unit near radiators, heating vents, direct sunlight, or in excessively humid or dusty locations to prevent damage and ensure longevity.
  • Ground Terminal: A dedicated ground terminal is provided to connect to the turntable's ground terminal, minimizing hum.
