Overview

This document is an owner's manual for Innovair Multi-Pipe VRF High Wall air conditioning units, specifically models VWM10H25, VWM13H25, VWM18H25, and VWM24H25. The units are AHRI certified and use R410A refrigerant.

Function Description

The Innovair Multi-Pipe VRF High Wall units are designed for air conditioning, offering various operational modes including auto, cool, dry, fan, and heat. Users can control the unit via a remote controller, which allows for adjusting temperature, fan speed, and air blowing angle. The units feature an inverter technology, indicating variable compressor speed for improved efficiency and comfort.

The remote controller includes dedicated buttons for:

  • ON/OFF: To power the unit on or off.
  • MODE: To select the desired operation mode (Auto, Cool, Dry, Fan, Heat).
  • +/-: To adjust the set temperature.
  • FAN: To cycle through fan speeds (auto, low, medium, high).
  • SWING: To adjust the air blowing angle.
  • CLOCK: To set the current time.
  • TIMER ON/TIMER OFF: To schedule automatic power on or off.
  • X-FAN: To activate or deactivate the X-FAN function, which helps dry the indoor unit to prevent mold.
  • TEMP: To display indoor set temperature, indoor ambient temperature, or outdoor ambient temperature.
  • TURBO: To quickly reach the desired temperature in cool or heat mode.
  • LIGHT: To turn the display light on or off on the indoor unit.
  • SLEEP: To activate or deactivate the sleep function, which adjusts temperature for comfortable sleep.

Combination button functions include:

  • Child Lock: Pressing "+" and "-" simultaneously activates or deactivates the child lock. When active, the remote controller will blink three times without sending a signal if operated.
  • Temperature Display Switchover: Under OFF status, pressing "-" and "MODE" simultaneously switches the temperature display between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).

  • Emergency Operation: In case of a lost or damaged remote controller, an auxiliary button on the indoor unit allows for basic ON/OFF operation in auto mode.
  • Self-Diagnosis: The unit displays error codes (e.g., E5, H6, C5, F1, F2, E6) on the indoor unit's temperature indicator to help identify malfunctions.
  • Quiet Operation: Designed to minimize noise and vibration, especially when installed correctly.
  • Anti-Cold Air Function (Heating Mode): The indoor unit delays blowing air for 1-5 minutes after starting heating to prevent cold air discharge.
  • X-FAN Function: Helps to dry the indoor unit's internal components after cooling or dry mode operation, preventing mold and odors.
  • Child Lock: Prevents unintended operation by children.
  • Temperature Display Options: Users can choose to display the set temperature, indoor ambient temperature, or outdoor ambient temperature.

Maintenance Features

  • Filter Cleaning: The air filter should be cleaned every three months, or more frequently in dusty environments. Cleaning involves opening the panel, removing the filter, washing it with water below 45°C, and drying it in a shady place. Do not touch the fins after removing the filter to avoid injury. Do not use fire or a hair dryer to dry the filter.
  • General Cleaning: The indoor unit's surface should be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth. Do not wash the air conditioner with water or spray water on the indoor unit to avoid electric shock or malfunction. Disconnect power before cleaning.
  • Pre-Season Check: Before the operating season, check for blocked air inlets/outlets, proper functioning of the air switch/plug/socket, clean filters, intact mounting brackets (indoor and outdoor), and undamaged drainage pipes.
  • Post-Season Check: After the operating season, disconnect power, clean filters and the indoor unit panel, and check mounting brackets for damage.
  • Battery Replacement: The remote controller batteries (2x AAA 1.5V) should be replaced when the display is fuzzy or blank. Ensure correct polarity.
  • Professional Maintenance: Installation and any repairs must be performed by qualified professionals. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons. Do not repair or refit the air conditioner yourself.
  • Odor Source Elimination: If odors are emitted, eliminate the source (e.g., furniture, cigarette smoke) and clean the filter.
  • Troubleshooting Guide: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues like the unit not operating, mist emission, inability to adjust temperature, poor cooling/heating effect, odors, abnormal operation, outdoor unit vapor, "water flowing" noise, and cracking noise.
