There is also good news for all operation cases in which innovaphone products are used additionally
as network routers. The implementation of NAT (Network Address Translation) also enables non
official IP addresses to be used internally. Thereby implementation is not restricted only to TCP/IP but
also supports the conversion of UDP which is indispensable in the VoIP environment.
Also telephones from other manufacturers, analogue telephones and any DECT telephones can use
the available features due to extended control of the PBX using hot keys on the telephone. Call hold,
call waiting and call connection all work with the usual key sequences. Also rejection of waiting calls
using the „R“ and „0“ keys is possible with all telephones.

Every service provider needs appropriate interconnections to other
telephone networks for voice service. In Europe these are mostly
interconnections to ISDN. These interconnections are realised with
media gateways. The media gateways from innovaphone are available in
various sizes from one ISDN connection to several primary rate access.
