P-2000/P-3200 Power Amplifier
Full Short Protection: Full output current peak of up to 25 amperes (50 amperes at
120VAC) is permitted, but if the output is shorted the current is reduced to
approximately 25% of normal output.
Compressor/Limiting: When maximum output power is reached, output level will
be reduced to avoid distortion.
RF Protection: Maximum available power is reduced above 15kHz without
affecting frequency response at normal signal levels, to protect high-frequency
drivers from high-frequency oscillation burnout.
DC Fault Protection: DC detection circuitry shuts the speaker output when a DC
fault voltage of ±3dB or greater is detected.
Power On/Off Muting: Audio to speakers is delayed for several seconds on
powering on and off to reduce potential speaker damage from transients.
Active Inrush Current Protection: Inrush current is limited by a NTC (Negative
Temperature Coefficient) resistor which is engaged when inrush resistance is
detected and then diminished gradually to avoid loss of power.
