Controls specification
1. ABBREVIATIONS
Ts = Setting temperature
Tr = Room air temperature sensor
Ti = Indoor coil temperature sensor
To= Outdoor coil temperature sensor
2. CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION
a. By ON/OFF button on the handset or wired wall pad.
b. By programmable timer on the handset or wired wall pad.
c. By manual control button on the air conditioner.
2.2.POWER ON SETTING
When power on signal is received by the air conditioner, the Mode,
Fan Speed, Set Temperature and Swing settings will be the same
as the last handset settings before the last power off.
2.3.COMPRESSOR DELAY SAFETY CONTROL
To ensure long compressor life, operation is delayed for 3 minutes
to balance system pressure.
2.4.COOL MODE
a. If Tr≥Ts+1
o
C, cool operation is activated. Compressor and
outdoor fan are turned on. Indoor fan runs at set speed.
b. If Tr≤Ts, cool operation is terminated. Compressor and
outdoor fan are turned off. Indoor fan runs at set speed.
c. The range of Ts is 16 to 30
o
C. The initial set temperature of Ts
is 24
o
C, fan speed is auto.
d. Indoor fan speed can be adjusted for low, medium, high and auto.
e. If the indoor unit sensor is damaged, the unit will work in timer
mode. The compressor working time is revised according to
the setting temperature. If the setting temperature is 16
o
C, the
compressor working time is 24 minutes, then stop 3 minutes.
The setting temperature is increased 1
o
C while the
compressor working time is decreased 1 minute.
f. When the unit is turned off, indoor fan will delay for 10
seconds before it is turned off.
2.4.1. OVER HEAT PROTECTION OF OUTDOOR COIL
a. If To>68
o
C, compressor and outdoor fan will be turned off
and the indoor fan will remain on and run at set speed.
b. If To<45
o
C and the compressor has stopped for more than 3
minutes, the over heat protection will be terminated, and
compressor and outdoor fan will be turned on.
2.4.2. DEFROST PROTECTION OF INDOOR COIL
a. If -3
o
C ≤ Ti ≤ 2
o
C for 5 minutes, the indoor fan will run at high
speed.
b. If Ti ≤ -3
o
C for 3 minutes, the compressor and outdoor unit
will be turned off, and the indoor fan will run at low speed.
c. If Ti>7
o
C, the compressor will be turned on, and the defrost
protection will be terminated.
2.4.3. REFRIGERANT SHORTAGE PROTECTION
a. When the compressor has been running over 15 minutes
continuously, if Tr - Ti ≤ 3
o
C, the refrigerant shortage
protection will be activated. The compressor will be turned off
and indoor fan will run at set speed.
2.5.HEAT MODE
a. If Tr≤Ts-1
o
C, heat operation is activated, compressor and
outdoor fan will be turned on, indoor fan will run according to
PRE-HEAT condition.
b. If Tr>Ts+1
o
C, heat operation is terminated, compressor, outdoor
fan and indoor fan will be turned off. Then indoor fan will stop 3
minutes and run 30 seconds at low speed repeatedly.
c. The range of Ts is 16 to 30
o
C. The initial set temperature is
24
o
C, fan speed is auto.
d. When the unit is turned off; the indoor fan will delay for 10
seconds to be turned off, outdoor fan will delay for 30
seconds to be turned off, the 4-way valve will delay 60
seconds to be closed.
e. Indoor fan speed can be adjusted for low, medium, high and auto.
f. If the indoor unit sensor is damaged, the unit will work in timer
mode. The compressor working time is revised according to
the setting temperature. If the setting temperature is 16
o
C, the
compressor working time is 16 minutes, then stop 3 minutes.
The setting temperature is increased 1
o
C while the
compressor working time in increased 1 minute.
2.5.1. PRE-HEAT
a. If Ti ≤ 30
o
C, when compressor and outdoor fan are turned on,
indoor fan remains off.
b. If 30
o
C < Ti < 36
o
C, when compressor and outdoor fan are
turned on and indoor fan keeps original state.
c. If Ti ≥ 36
o
C, when compressor and outdoor fan are turned on
and Indoor fan runs at set speed.
2.5.2. POST-HEAT
a. If Ti>36
o
C, the post-heat will be activated, then when
Ti<33
o
C, It will be terminated.
b. Indoor runs at the same speed as indoor fan runs in pre-heat.
