is set for 3 minutes and indoor fan runs at set speed.
2.5.3. OVER HEAT PROTECTION OF INDOOR COIL
a. If 54
o
C<Ti ≤ 58
o
C indoor fan runs at set speed or medium speed.
b. If Ti>58
o
C outdoor fan off, indoor fan runs at set speed or
medium speed.
c. If Ti>63
o
C outdoor fan and compressor off, indoor fan runs at
set speed or medium speed.
d. If Ti<54
o
C outdoor fan on, compressor on 3 minutes later,
indoor fan at set speed.
2.5.4. REFRIGERANT SHORTAGE PROTECTION
a. When the compressor has been turned on over 15 minutes
continuously, if Ti-Tr≤5
o
C, the refrigerant shortage protection
will be activated. The compressor will be turned off.
2.5.5. OUTDOOR DEFROST
With Outdoor Coil Sensor
a. After 45 minutes of continuous running and in heat mode over
8 minutes, if To ≤-5
o
C, the outdoor defrost is activated.
b. When defrost is to activate:
- Compressor is turned off.
- Indoor fan will be turned off in 20 seconds.
- Outdoor fan will be turned off in 60 seconds.
- 4-way valve will be closed in 60 seconds.
- Compressor and auxiliary electric heater will be on in 70
seconds.
c. When defrosting over 9 minutes or To≥8
o
C or the high
pressure protection is on over 8 seconds, defrosting will stop.
d. When defrost is to deactivate:
- Compressor and auxiliary electric heater are turned off.
- Outdoor fan is on.
- 4-way valve will be opened in 45 seconds.
- Compressor will be on in 60 seconds.
- Indoor fan will run in pre-heat condition.
- Unit will operate in heat mode.
2.5.6. ELECTRIC HEATER (Optional)
The electric heater is turned on if the following conditions are
satisfied:
a. In heat mode
b. The compressor running time is more than 8s.
c. Tr < Ts-3
o
C
d. Ti ≤ 40
o
C
The electric heater is turned off if one of the following conditions
is satisfied:
a. The room temperature sensor or indoor coil sensor is
damaged.
b. Tr > Ts-1
o
C
c. Ti > 45
o
C
The electric heater is running. The preheat time is less than 1
minute. The indoor fan is turned on at low speed.
2.6.PRESSURE PROTECTION
2.6.1. HIGH PRESSURE (Temperature Differential Control)
PROTECTION
If Indoor Coil Temperature >52
o
C, the outdoor fan is turned off,
compressor is on, after that, if Indoor Coil Temperature <45
o
C,
the outdoor fan will turn on again.
If Indoor Coil Temperature >68
o
C, the outdoor fan and
compressor are turned off, after that, if Indoor Coil Temperature
<45
o
C, the outdoor fan and compressor will turn on again.
2.6.1.2. LOW PRESSURE
(Temperature Differential Control) PROTECTION
a) Protection Activation
During COOL / DEHUMIDIFICATION / HEAT mode,
compressor runs continuously 15 minutes,
If Ti – Tr ≤3
o
C for 5 minutes constantly, protection activates.
Changing mode does not terminate protection function, except
turning off unit.
During protection:
In COOL mode, outdoor unit stops, indoor fan runs at set
speed.
In DEHUMIDIFICATION mode, outdoor unit stops, indoor fan
runs at low speed.
