The primary function of the Birdie Family hoists is to facilitate the safe and comfortable transfer of individuals with limited mobility. They are designed to maximize space for the user, even when the hoist is in its highest position, allowing for easy rotation and positioning during transfers. This design also minimizes the risk of injury to the user's knees by ensuring they are not close to the actuator. The hoists are equipped with a snap-lock system for enhanced security, reducing the risk of accidents during operation. They are CE-certified in line with the Medical Device Directive 93/42/ECC and rigorously tested to comply with EN ISO 10535, the European standard for hoists, by both Invacare and the German TÜV institute.
