      Melanie CharlesAug 14, 2025
In COOL mode, the mist is generated by condensation formed during the sudden cooling process. This is normal. Also, mist may be generated due to moisture from defrosting when the air conditioner restarts in HEAT mode after defrosting, which is also normal.

Hissing, squeaking and rushing air sounds are normal operation sounds. Hissing sound may be heard during or after stopping the air conditioner and it is caused by refrigerant flowing. Squeaking sound is caused by the normal expansion and contraction of plastic and metal parts due to temperature changes. Rushing air occurs when the louver resets its position.
