Overview

The InvisiClean Mini Aura Air Purifier, Model: IC-3012, is designed to improve indoor air quality through a multi-level purification system. This device is intended for household use and should be operated in accordance with the specifications outlined in its manual to prevent electric shock or serious injury.

Function Description:

The air purifier employs a comprehensive system to clean the air:

  • PRE-FILTER: Captures larger initial particles such as pet hair, dust, and allergens. This filter requires monthly vacuuming or brushing for optimal performance.
  • ACTIVATED CARBON: Absorbs formaldehyde, benzene, and other odors and gases from the air.
  • HEPA Filter: Captures smaller particles including dust, smoke, and pollen.
  • UV-C LIGHT: Destroys microorganisms such as germs, viruses, bacteria, and mold.
  • IONS: Generates negative ions that combine with dust particles, making them heavier and causing them to fall to the ground, rather than remaining airborne. While this may result in more dust settling on surrounding furniture, it is considered beneficial as these particles are removed from the breathable air.

Important Technical Specifications:

The manual does not explicitly list technical specifications like power consumption, CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate), or room size coverage. However, it does specify replacement parts:

  • UV Bulb: InvisiClean model IC-3012-BULB
  • Prefilter: InvisiClean model IC-3012-PREFILTER
  • HEPA Filter: InvisiClean model IC-3012-FILTER

Usage Features:

The InvisiClean Mini Aura Air Purifier is equipped with touch buttons for easy operation:

  • POWER/FILTER RESET Button: Used to turn the air purifier on or off. Pressing and holding this button for 5 seconds resets the Filter Reset light after filter maintenance.
  • FAN SPEED Button: Allows adjustment of the fan speed through three settings: Low (I), Medium (II), and High (III). Each press cycles through these speeds.
  • UV/ION/SLEEP Button: Activates or deactivates the UV light and ION mode. Pressing and holding this button for 5 seconds engages the SLEEP MODE.
  • TIMER Button: Sets the purifier to operate for specific intervals of 2, 4, or 8 hours, after which it automatically shuts off.

Setup and Placement:

Before operation, users must remove the air purifier from its packaging and remove the plastic packaging from the filter. The unit should be placed on a firm, level surface, at least 1 foot away from any walls or furniture to ensure proper airflow. It is crucial to ensure that none of the intake and outlet grills are blocked. The power cord is then plugged into an AC outlet. When moving the unit, it should always be lifted by the carrying handle located on the back.

Safety Warnings:

  • The appliance has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other) to reduce electric shock risk; it should only fit one way into a polarized outlet. If it doesn't fit, the plug should be reversed. If it still doesn't fit, a qualified electrician should be contacted.
  • The appliance should be plugged directly into an AC electrical outlet.
  • The cord should be kept out of heavy traffic areas and never placed under rugs, near heat registers, radiators, stoves, or heaters.
  • The unit should not be immersed in water or other liquids, nor used near water.
  • Children should always be supervised when near the unit.
  • The air purifier must be unplugged before moving it, opening the grill, changing filters, cleaning, or when not in use. Always pull by the plug, not the cord.
  • No objects should be dropped or inserted into any openings.
  • The cord should not be run under carpeting or covered with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. It should not be routed under furniture or appliances and must be arranged away from traffic areas to prevent tripping hazards.
  • The appliance should not be operated with a damaged cord or plug, if the motor fan fails to rotate, after a malfunction, or if it has been dropped or damaged. In such cases, Customer Service should be contacted.
  • The unit is for intended household use only.
  • It should not be used outdoors.
  • Nothing should be placed on top of the unit.
  • Air openings, grills, or outlets should never be blocked, nor should the unit be placed on a soft surface (like a bed or sofa) where it could tip over and block air intake or outtake.
  • Users should not attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions, as this voids the warranty. The unit contains no user-serviceable parts, and all servicing must be performed by qualified personnel.
  • Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before servicing.
  • UV Bulb Warning: Direct viewing of the UV bulb's light can cause skin or eye damage. Always disconnect power before replacing the bulb or servicing. Replace with InvisiClean model IC-3012-BULB.

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance is crucial for the air purifier's performance and longevity.

  • Exterior Cleaning: The exterior should be cleaned at least once a month using a clean, dry, soft cloth. The frequency may vary based on environmental conditions. Foreign objects or fingers should not be stuck inside the unit. Harsh cleaners, gasoline, benzine, thinner, alcohol, or other solvents should not be used on or in the unit, as they can damage the product.
  • Prefilter Maintenance: The prefilter should be cleaned or replaced monthly. It can be cleaned using a vacuum cleaner's brush attachment or by brushing it off with a duster or brush. The prefilter can also be replaced if desired (model number: IC-3012-PREFILTER).
  • HEPA Filter Replacement: The HEPA filter should be replaced every 6-12 months. The indicator for replacement is when the backside of the filter turns grayish, signifying that dirt has penetrated to the last layers. After checking or replacing the filter, the POWER button should be pressed and held for 5 seconds to reset the FILTER RESET light. The filter will last approximately 6-12 months depending on usage and environment. Only genuine InvisiClean filter model IC-3012-FILTER should be used.
  • Filter Replacement Procedure:
    1. Open the front cover by pulling it from the top.
    2. Remove the old filter by pulling on its two strips.
    3. Insert a new filter with the prefilter attached, ensuring the strips face outwards.
    4. Reattach the front cover by first placing the bottom two hooks, then securing the top of the door.
    5. Press and hold the POWER Button for 5 seconds to reset the filter light.
  • UV Bulb Replacement Procedure:
    1. Remove the UV lamp cover by unscrewing the 3 screws holding it.
    2. Carefully remove the UV lamp from its holder and unplug the connector.
    3. Connect the new UV lamp (IC-3012-BULB) to the connector and carefully place it back into the holder.
    4. Reinstall the lamp cover.
    • Note: Do not watch the operating UV lamp directly.
