How to fix red LED on IOXUS uST12V0375G31-MDA due to overheating?
    • A
      Allison ButlerAug 3, 2025
If the red LED on your IOXUS Terminal Block is on due to Over Temperature Protection, remove the uSTART® from the high temperature condition and allow it to cool. The fault will clear once the internal temperature drops below 60°C (149°F). If this occurs frequently, consider installing a reflective heat shield between the heat source and the uSTART®.

What to do if the red LED is on IOXUS uST12V0375G31-MDA due to over current?
    • F
      Frank JohnsonAug 8, 2025
If the red LED on your IOXUS Terminal Block is illuminated due to Over Current Protection, the fault should clear within 30 seconds, and the uSTART® will return to Run Mode. Check for loose electrical connections and the battery condition. While infrequent activation is generally not a concern, persistent issues require contacting Ioxus Customer Service.

What to do if red LED stays on IOXUS Terminal Block due to malfunction?
    • R
      Regina HuberAug 13, 2025
If the red LED on your IOXUS Terminal Block is on because of Malfunction Protection, this condition won't clear automatically. Check for loose electrical connections and the battery condition. Reset power by disconnecting the Negative lead from the uSTART® for 30 seconds, then reconnect it. The uSTART® will enter Maintenance mode. Start the vehicle and observe the uSTART® for 1 minute. If the fault persists, contact Ioxus Customer Service.

How to troubleshoot a non-functioning IOXUS Terminal Block uSTART®?
    • S
      schultzjulieAug 19, 2025
If the uSTART® has stopped functioning, check for loose electrical connections and the battery condition. Ensure the battery voltage is above 12V when the vehicle is off, and confirm the uSTART® terminals also have above 12V. Disconnect the uSTART® Negative lead for 30 seconds and then reconnect. If the Yellow LED does not light, contact Ioxus Customer Service.

Why is the red LED blinking on my IOXUS uST12V0375G31-MDA?
    • S
      Scott Johnson IIIAug 25, 2025
If the red LED is blinking on your IOXUS Terminal Block due to Energy Storage Protection, this condition should clear once the ultracapacitor cell voltage management returns to normal. The uSTART® will reduce the ultracapacitor charge voltage maximum limit while the condition persists, which will result in less energy storage, but this will not impact engine cranking performance. If the condition persists for more than 24 hours, the uSTART® may enter ERROR Mode.

Why are no LEDs on my IOXUS uST12V0375G31-MDA?
    • M
      Melanie YorkAug 29, 2025
If no LEDs are on for your IOXUS Terminal Block, it might be in Standby Mode, which is normal. The uSTART® will automatically enter Run Mode when the vehicle is started or a high load is applied. Also, uSTART® will enter Standby Mode after 1 hour without vehicle operation in order to conserve electrical energy.
