To use the IQOS 3 DUO, a HeatStick is gently inserted into the Holder up to the line on the filter, with the filter facing outside. It's important not to twist the HeatStick during insertion, as this can damage the heating element. Once inserted, the user presses the Holder Button to start heating. The IQOS 3 DUO Holder will vibrate, and the Light(s) will pulse white, signaling the heating process has begun. The device vibrates twice to indicate it's ready for use. Towards the end of the experience, the Holder will vibrate twice again, and the Light(s) will pulse white, signaling the last 30 seconds or the last two puffs. After use, the Cap of the Holder is slid upward, and the used HeatStick is removed.
The IQOS 3 DUO also includes quick tips for troubleshooting and status checks. To check the Pocket Charger's battery level, the Pocket Charger Button is pressed and released. The lights will illuminate to indicate the battery status. A reset function is available by pressing the Pocket Charger Button for 10 seconds until the lights fade out. All Status Lights will then turn off, blink twice, and progressively fade in, confirming a successful reset. If the lights blink white twice, it indicates that the IQOS is outside its optimal operating temperature range (0°C-50°C) or that the Holder needs to be inserted into the Pocket Charger with the door closed until fully charged. If a red light blinks, it signals an error, and the user should reset the IQOS 3 DUO. If the red light blinking persists, customer care should be contacted.
