To turn on, depress the
On/Off button for 5
seconds.
Immediately upon
deployment, charge the
backup battery.
• The phone must be used outside away from trees and tall
buildings.
• Deploy the antenna.
Make sure it is oriented skyward
when placed to your ear
prior to making/receiving a call.
• The display will show “Registered” to indicate a connection to
the satellite has been established.
• To make a call, enter the full dialing sequence
[001+areacode+phone number] Ex. 0017138813100. Press the
green key to initiate the call. You will hear a few beeps, then an
announcement of minutes left, followed by “please, wait while
your call is connected.” Press the red key to end the call.
• When call is complete, return antenna to original position as
shown in the full picture of the phone (left).
