Firmware Upgrade
What is the firmware?
The firmware is the operating system that works in the U10.
iriver provides you with the latest and best features through Firmware Upgrade.
How to upgrade the firmware
Follow these steps to upgrade E10's firmware to the latest version.
1 Connect E10 to the computer using the USB cable included in the package.
2 Execute iriver plus 2.
3 Select [Option — Firmware Upgrade] in the top menu.
Note
• Do not disconnect E10 from the computer during the firmware upgrade.
* You need the Internet connection available to upgrade the firmware.
Initializing E10
If your E10 is having fatal errors, follow these steps to initialize the device.
1 Connect E10 to your computer, and execute iriver plus 2.
2 Select [Option — Initialize Portable Device] in the top menu.
* All the data in the E10 will be deleted.
