Overview

The ISOtunes Free TWS Bluetooth Headset is designed for users seeking a wireless audio experience with the convenience of true wireless stereo (TWS) functionality. This headset allows for both making calls and streaming music freely, making it suitable for a variety of daily activities. It is compatible with devices that support Bluetooth wireless technology.

Function Description

The headset operates as a true wireless stereo system, meaning the left and right earbuds function independently while also being able to connect to each other for a stereo experience. It supports Bluetooth profiles such as HFP, HSP, A2DP, and AVRCP, ensuring broad compatibility with various Bluetooth-enabled devices. Audio decoding protocols like SBC, AAC, and APTX are supported, aiming to provide quality sound transmission. The headset has a transmission power classified as Class 2, offering an operation range of up to 10 meters.

Usage Features

Turning On/Off:

The headset offers two methods for powering on and off. The first method involves simply picking up the headsets from the charging base to automatically turn them on. Placing them back into the charging base will power them off and initiate charging. The second method requires manual operation: in the OFF mode, press and hold the Multi-Function Button (MFB) on either the right (R) or left (L) headset for 2 seconds to turn them on. To turn them off, in the ON mode, press and hold the MFB on either headset for 5 seconds.

TWS Pairing:

For initial setup or after clearing pairing records, the headsets should be paired within 20cm of each other without obstruction.

  • Method 1 (Automatic): Pick up both headsets from the charging base. After a few seconds, they will automatically enter auto-pairing mode and connect to each other. The right headset (R) will then alternately flash red and blue, indicating it's ready to pair with a mobile phone. Users can then open their phone's Bluetooth settings and search for "ISOtunes Free-R" to connect.
  • Method 2 (Manual): In the OFF state, press the MFB key on both headsets for 2 seconds to power them on. After a few seconds, they will enter auto-pairing mode and connect to each other. Similar to Method 1, the right headset (R) will then alternately flash red and blue, signaling readiness for phone pairing. Users should then search for "ISOtunes Free-R" in their phone's Bluetooth settings. Upon successful TWS pairing, the headset will prompt "Pairing successful." After TWS connection, the right headset (R) enters pairing mode with the phone, prompting "pairing." The phone will then search for Bluetooth devices, and users should select "ISOtunes Free-R" from the list. The right headset will prompt "Pairing successful," and both left and right headsets will prompt "dengdong," followed by the right headset prompting "Connected." If the mobile phone issues a Bluetooth pairing request (common with iPhones), users should select "match."

Master-Slave Switching:

The headsets automatically establish a master-slave relationship upon being turned on, with the right headset defaulting as the master. If the master headset is placed in the charging box, the slave headset will automatically connect to the mobile phone, allowing for continuous use. If the left headset is turned on first and reconnected to the mobile phone, the left headset becomes the master headset, and the right headset becomes the slave. For single connection, both TWS and mobile pairing records are required.

TWS Reconnection:

  • Method 1 (Manual Power On): Press the MFB of either headset (R) or (L) for 2 seconds to power on. After a few seconds, the two headsets will connect automatically. The headset will then pair with the previously connected mobile phone, reconnecting successfully after a few seconds.
  • Method 2 (From Charging Base): Pick up the headsets from the charging base to power on. After a few seconds, the two headsets will connect automatically. The headset will then pair with the previously connected mobile phone, reconnecting successfully after a few seconds. Upon successful TWS reconnection, both the right and left headsets will prompt "Dengdong," and the right headset will prompt "Connected" after reconnecting with the mobile phone.

Call Handling:

  • Answer/End a Call: When a call comes in, a short press of the MFB on either headset (R) or (L) will answer the call. In call mode, a short press of the MFB on either headset (R) or (L) will end the call, accompanied by the "Call End" prompt.
  • Reject a Call: To reject an incoming call, press and hold the MFB on either headset (R) or (L) for 2 seconds. The speaker will prompt "Doo, Call Reject."
  • Voice Dialing: In standby or music playing mode, a short press of the MFB on the left headset (L) will activate voice dialing (this function is dependent on the phone's support for voice dialing).
  • Two-Call Handling: This feature is supported only by mobile phones with two-call handling capabilities.
    • When answering a call and another call comes in:
      • Long press and hold the MFB for 2 seconds to end the current call and answer the incoming call.
      • Short press the MFB to hold the current call and answer the incoming call.
      • After the second implementation, short press the MFB to switch between the two calls.
      • After the second implementation, long press the MFB for 2 seconds to end the current call, and short press the MFB to end the other call. These operations require adherence to Bluetooth hands-free profile V1.5 and phone holding functions (network services).

Music Playback:

  • Music Pause/Playing: In standby mode, a short press of the MFB on the right headset (R) will play music. While music is playing, a short press of the MFB on the right headset (R) will pause the music.
  • Volume +/-: In call or music playing mode, double-click the MFB on the right headset (R) to increase volume, and double-click the MFB on the left headset (L) to decrease volume. A "Doo" sound will be heard from either headset when the volume reaches its maximum or minimum level.
  • Forward/Backward: In music playing mode, long press the MFB on the right headset (R) for 2 seconds to skip to the next song. Long press the MFB on the left headset (L) for 2 seconds to go back to the previous song.

Wearing Steps:

  1. Step 1: Erect the headset and place them into the cochlea.
  2. Step 2: Slightly rotate the headset until it feels firm.
  3. Step 3: Make sure the headset is tightly fitted to the cochlear edge. The headsets are identified as L (left) and R (right) and should be worn accordingly.

Maintenance Features

Charging:

  • Headset Charging: Place the headset (L) and (R) into their corresponding positions at the bottom of the charging base. The indicator light on the headset will show red when charging and will turn off automatically once fully charged.
  • Charging Base Charging: Use the provided USB charging cable to charge the base. The red indicator light will flash according to the battery level until fully charged, at which point it will remain steadily on. The indicator flashing red once every 5 seconds means 25% battery, twice means 50%, three times means 75%, and four times means full battery (100%).
  • Charging Precautions:
    • Ensure the charging device is suitable for the headset.
    • Only use the supplied charger to avoid invalidating the warranty or causing danger.
    • Do not attempt to force open the built-in battery.
    • A fully charged headset will lose power if left unused; it is recommended to charge it every three months.
    • Avoid leaving the headset in extreme temperatures (-10°C to 50°C is optimal) as this can affect operation.
    • Do not dispose of the headset in fire or water.

Cleaning and Handling:

  • Do not use abrasive cleaning solvents.
  • Prevent contact with sharp objects to avoid scratching and damage.
  • Keep the headset away from high temperatures, humidity, and dust.
