6 CONTROLS AND SAFETY FEATURES
6.1 Controls:
Your slicer is fitted as standard with an emergency stop button (fig.1, n°11).
6.2 Work area:
The work area is at the front of the machine (fig.3, n°19).
6.3 Safety features:
This machine is equipped with:
A lever that operates machine start-up and bread slicing. Releasing the lever causes the machine to
stop (fig.1, n°9).
A safety switch that prevents the machine from operating if the rear cover (fig.2, n°15,16) (optional)
(MJG – MJG ETL – MJF – MJC – MJC ETL) is open.
A safety switch that prevents the machine from operating if the front cover (fig.2, n°17,18) (optional)
(MJC – MJC ETL) is open.
7 OPERATION
If your machine is equipped with a base (fig.1, n°7) (optional), the braked castors (fig.1, n°8) must be
locked when the machine is in operation.
Switch on the power to the machine at the start of the day using the emergency stop (fig.1,
n°11).
After switching on using the emergency stop and if your machine is fitted with a Misch
lubrication system (MJF - MJM), the knife start button (fig.2, n°14) must be pressed in order to
release the loaf pusher from the blades.
Operating procedure (fig.5)
A. Pull the lever towards you. If your machine is fitted with a rear cover (optional) (MJG – MJG
ETL – MJF – MJC – MJC ETL), it will open automatically when the lever is operated.
B. Keeping the lever pulled towards you, place the loaf on the rear table, between the blades and
the moving section.
C. Release the lever gently. This action will cause the loaf to be pushed through the blades.
D. Retrieve the sliced loaf once the lever has returned fully to its released position. If your
machine is fitted with a front cover, open it before retrieving the loaf (optional) (MJC – MJC
ETL). If your machine is equipped with a JACFIX (optional), this system holds the loaf together
once cut. Remove the loaf upwards to release it from the JACFIX.
At the end of the day, press the red emergency stop button to switch off the power to the machine.
